  • 23/04/2017.....Farewell 2016-17!

After a spectacular start to the winter season which effectively guaranteed the whole season ahead, Sierra Nevada will be closing the lifts down for this year as of 3pm this afternoon. The Winter Season of 2016-17 has officially been declared as the most successful campaign in recent years contributed initially by the fantastic snowcover received at the beginning of season, the consistently superior piste maintenance work and a natural influx in ski visitors. With the end of season due to finish next Sunday 30th, the decision to close early has been one of great consideration and due to basic safety concerns with the unusually high temperatures and lack of precipitation for the time of year, the resort management company have assessed the impossibility to maintain the slopes in adequate conditions for another week. We sincerely thank all our clients and anyone else who has benefited from our services this season and wish you all a very happy summer!

Costa del Sol

Costal Del Sol

It´s easy to combine a ski holiday in Sierra Nevada with some serious beach-time!  It´s perfectly possible to be skiing in the morning and basking on a beach in the afternoon.

The Costa Del Sol is barely two hours' drive from the Sierra Nevada ski resort, making this entirely feasible.

And in addition to the lure of the beaches, the Costa Del Sol has dozens of fine golf courses which line the Mediterranean coast and dot the skirts of the coastal mountains- a Mecca for golfers.

The provincial capital of Malaga is an interesting city steeped in history with two castles the world famous Piccasso Museum and with a large commercial port dominating its sea front.

The El Palo neighbourhood east of the city centre is particularly renowned for its perfectly prepared fresh seafood.

The city itself is typically criss-crossed with narrow pedestrian streets lined with high colonial buildings.

Tapas bars are abundant and the main shopping areas concentrate in the numerous centros commerciales (shopping centres), such as the Larios Centre and El Corte Ingles.
