Numerous restaurants are to be found all over the village and continuing higher up into the mid and upper zones too. A variety of tastes are catered for from traditional Spanish and Italian to Alpine Fondues and Raclette cuisine. As yet there are no Chinese or Indian restaurants here.

Prices are reasonable and very much comparable to those found along the popular coastal areas such as the Costa del Sol. The traditional "Menu del Día" (Menu of the Day) is also commonly found alongside the the menu options available offering hearty yet budget focussed meals. For around 11 Euros per head, there are a few places where you can eat a starter, main course and dessert with a drink to accompany.

Popular restaurants are La Visera, Pizzeria Floren, Midas, Fromagerie, La Carigüela, Pizzeria Tito Luigi and La Antorcha.

For that extra special occasion when you don't mind splashing out a little, you may wish to try the delicate cuisine of the Ruta Del Veleta or one of the a la carte restaurants of the Melia's Sol y Nieve and Sierra Nevada.

The infamous homemade burgers at the Crescendo are an essential complement to your Sierra Nevada visit. Tex Mex dishes are popular at Tía Maria whilst the Chicken Fajita and full English breakfast at the La Visera restaurants are also well worth making an effort for!
